You will be familiar with Help For Heros – founded in 2007 to provide direct, practical support for wounded, injured and sick UK Servicemen, women and veterans (‘the Blokes’) and their loved ones.

“The Aim of Mission Motorsport is to aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations, by providing opportunities through Motorsport.”

Both these organisations provide practical help to often forgotten UK Afghanistan veteran heroes with patronage from both Princes William and Harry [who is based locally on Anglesey].

About Race of remembrance

Originally established due to the generosity of Anglesey Circuit, the race was just meant to be a track day, a small, low-key event to enable Welsh and Wales-based Forces veterans the same opportunities as their neighbours across the border.

It has since become a three day event with supercars, drift cars, F1 cars and an eight-hour endurance race!

The 2014 event raised enough funds to establish the charity’s City and Guilds accreditation- and establish teaching courses at their Wantage UK workshop as a direct result of this fundraising.

45 teams of professional /amateur drivers will be on the starting line of the 2015 8 hour -1,000 km race!
