Log Files

Just like many other websites, www.yfsol.com makes use of log files. These files log visitors to the site. This is a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyse trends, administer the site, track a user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. We use Google Analytics to analyse how visitors use our website. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

This website (www.yfsol.com) uses cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses or visits, and to personalise or customise our web page content based upon visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Wufoo stores a copy of the completed form on its servers and sends a copy to us here at YFSOL (info@yfsol.com).

Andrew Baker will use the information you provided in the form to contact you and to handle your tax enquiry. Information you give to Andrew or Baktax following your initial enquiry via the Wufoo form on the Tax Advice for Yacht Crew page will not be passed on to us here at YFSOL without your express permission.

Our Broader Privacy & Data Management Policies

Data storage at YFSOL

All information provided by you to YFSOL digitally is stored securely on encrypted YFSOL-owned computers.

If you have requested to be added to our ‘Insider Briefing’ and/or our products/services mailing lists, your first name, last name and email address will be also stored on servers used by Mailchimp (email marketing platform).

A copy of the information you submit via online forms on our websites is also stored on servers used by Wufoo (online form manager).

When you email us, the information you submit is stored on servers used by Google Mail (email platform) and may also be collated on other Google Suite platforms (business software), such as Google Sheets (spreadsheet software).

If you have participated in a YFSOL survey, your responses are stored on servers used by Google Forms (survey platform).

Any hard copy/physical documents you lodge with us will be kept at either our customer service centre in Antibes, France, or at our headquarters in Cork, Ireland.

Data access

Suppliers

We use two trusted service providers who have limited access to your information to help us provide services to you that you have requested. In both cases, these service providers use platforms that YFSOL controls.

Parts of our financial administration and customer service back office are provided by AMS Integrated Outsourcing Solutions, which is based in Quezon City, the Philippines.

Our marketing is supported by Show and Tell Communications Ltd, which is based in Cork, Ireland (www.showandtellcommunications.net). Show and Tell Communications Ltd manages our email lists using Mailchimp. One person at Show and Tell Communications Ltd also has access to two YFSOL email address inboxes so the company can service our marketing needs. Show and Tell Communications Ltd doesn’t store, log or hold any of your information on its own systems. Instead it uses YFSOL systems.

Your access

You can request to see what information we hold about you by emailing info@yfsol.com. We will respond within 30 days with an overview of the information we hold.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your information for as long as you are a YFSOL client.

We are legally required hold data on our financial planning clients for up to seven years from the date they stop being a client. After seven years, their information will be deleted at our next data purge.

If you requested help with a bank account, mortgage, currency transfer or tax advice, we will hold your information for a year and then delete it at our next data purge.

You can request that we delete the information we hold about you at any point. Please email us at info@yfsol.com and allow 30 days for this process to be completed.

During our data purges, physical documents will be shredded. Digital information will be deleted from our data drives or rendered unusable (in cases where data is stored with third parties such as Mailchimp, Google, etc.).
